My cousin has a tendency to make me feel bad about myself. Any advice?

My cousin and I are very different, in appearance and personality. But, we usually get along very well. We make each other laugh.

However, there's one thing in particular that she does that hurts my feelings. She has blue eyes, short blonde hair and isn't very tall. I'm tall, have long dark hair and dark eyes. She'll be looking at me and say something like ';I hate brown hair'; or ';I hate long hair'; and so on. For example, this morning on the bus, we were just sitting there and all of a sudden she says ';Brown eyes are so ugly';...all I said was ';Well, thanks.';

It's fine not to like brown hair or whatever, but don't you think it's a bit mean to say that you don't like it when somebody with it is sitting right there? She says theses offhanded insults a lot and it hurts my feelings. My mom says she's just jealous (but that's my mom). I just don't know what her problem is...My cousin has a tendency to make me feel bad about myself. Any advice?
Dont listen to what she says, she's probably upset with her appearance so she's trying to make herself feel better by putting u down. If you dont show reaction to it and ignore it pretty soon she'll stop. I had the same problem with my cousin, and it's funny because my cousin looks the same way you described yours. So just dont pay attention, and if it doesnt stop, talk to her about it, tell her how it hurts.
