This happens to me if I wear certain shoes whilst driving! try changing shoes (different soles) as this can build up static electricity then as soon as you touch a conductor i.e your metal filling cabinet bam you get a shock!Hi - need abit of advice folks, getin really bad electric shocks..any cures?
Wear less synthetic clothing...
It is a build up of static. I used to shuffle my feet on cheap carpets so i could zapp peeps with a bolt of electricity. Check your shoes too ;o)
Oh, for a really cool effect, wear a wooly jumperover a polyester shirt all day then take it off in the dark ;o) Freaky stuff.... Enjoy
do you wear a lot of man made fabrics??
If it's only happening at work, I would ask someone in maintenance to check for a short somewhere. That could potentially be dangerous. (Electrocution or fire hazard)
If it happens everywhere you go, then it's bad static electricity. Buy a can of anti-static.
